PFS 2017 – It’s The New, Amazing Flying Edelmen, Locked in Julia

It’s the OPENING NIGHT of Philly Sketchfest 2017!

Philly Sketchfest’s (PSF) goal is to entertain audiences, support the growth of Philadelphia’s comedy community, and celebrate national and international sketch groups with unique shows, performers, and panels.


It’s The New
“it’s the new.” is a 1991 American science-fiction action film co-written, produced and directed by James Cameron. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Robert Patrick and Edward Furlong. It is the sequel to the 1984 film The Terminator, and the second installment in the Terminator franchise.

‘it’s the new.’ is written performed by Jackie Benhayon, Erin Fleming, Gab Thom, Dru Kramcsak, Jack O’Keefe, Andrew Nealis, Tee Nutt, and Bill Reick.

The Amazing Flying Edelmen
The Amazing Flying Edelmen is a Philly-based sketch comedy duo consisting of siblings Jon and Marissa Edelman.

A relatively new entry to the Philly comedy scene, the Amazing Flying Edelmen have appeared in at Philly Improv Theater’s ‘Theme Show’, Good Good Comedy’s ‘The Look’, and were finalists in the 2016 Dirtiest Sketch in Philly Competition. They recently completed a four-show run of their first full half-hour sketch show, ‘Human Cartoons’.

Locked In Julia’s Basement
Written & directed by Julia Celley, ‘Locked in Julia’s Basement’ is a solid spoonful of dark & absurd sketch comedy, performed by Celley & her trusty cast mates – Bill Reik, Shane McKeon, Chris McGrail, Anna Bonilla. Previous performances were hosted by the Philly Improv Theater, Hey We’re Cool, & Good Good Comedy.
